CSA INTERNATIONAL

We Answer with Solutions

CSA International is an independent, not-for-profit organization supported by more than 8,000 members. We have a network of offices, partners, and strategic alliances in Canada, the U.S., and around the world.
Established in 1919, CSA International is a leader in the field of standards development and the application of these standards through product certification, management systems registration, and information products. CSA International's purpose is to make standards work for people and business.

Standards Development
Our standards are aimed at enhancing public health and safety, improving the quality of life, preserving the environment, and facilitating trade. They are developed by committees, using a consensus approach. CSA International committee members represent groups most involved in a particular standard. The process usually starts when a request is made from a manufacturer, industry association, consumer group, educational institute, or government body to help with a particular safety, performance, or quality issue.

Certification & Testing
We test products and systems to ensure they meet CSA International or other recognized North American or international standards. CSA International certification tells you that a product or system has been evaluated under a formal process that includes examination, testing and follow-up inspection, and that the product complies with all applicable standards.

QMI-Management Systems Registration
QMI, a division of CSA, offers a series of professional services including registration and training for ISO Quality Management Systems. QMI provides single point of contact for third party auditing and certification.

International Services
Our international network stretches throughout the Americas, Europe, and Asia. The U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) and the Standards Council of Canada (SCC) recognize CSA as a Nationally Recognized Testing Laboratory (NRTL).
